Information used by the app

When installed, MessageFit uses the permissions approved through Shopify to read product facts and recent orders, analyze purchase cohorts, and publish merchant-approved product descriptions. During order analysis, customer identifiers are used temporarily to group orders. The app saves aggregated cohort counts and recorded order-value totals, rather than individual customer records or customer contact fields.

We store the shop identifier, authentication sessions, synced product descriptions, merchant-entered messaging and customer-profile hypotheses, draft versions, review evidence, publication snapshots, job status and usage records. Shopify sessions can include authorized staff account metadata. Access and refresh tokens are encrypted before database storage. Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers and addresses are not requested for order analysis.

AI processing

Claude, provided by Anthropic, receives selected product facts, the store’s messaging context, the selected customer profile and aggregate purchase insights to generate and review copy. Individual order records, customer identifiers and Shopify authentication tokens are not sent to Claude. Do not enter personal customer information into free-text messaging fields. Anthropic processes API requests under its applicable commercial terms and retention policies; MessageFit does not promise zero-retention processing.

Service providers

The Shopify app is hosted on Vercel and its application database uses Neon PostgreSQL. Shopify provides authentication, store APIs and app billing. These providers process information needed to supply the service. The separate private studio uses Cloudflare and OpenAI Sites hosting and contains illustrative sample data; live Shopify store data is kept in the dedicated app backend.

Our data protection commitments to merchants

For Shopify customer data used in order analysis, the merchant controls the purposes and lawful basis, and acceleroi OÜ processes that data only to provide the merchant’s requested MessageFit features. We do not sell it, use it to train our own models, or make decisions about individual customers. We limit access to authorized service operators and providers, protect data in transit and at rest, and assist verified merchant requests through the support contact. Merchants remain responsible for their customer notices and lawful instructions. This notice sets out our privacy commitments for the installed app.

Retention and deletion

Saved product facts, drafts, publication snapshots and messaging remain while the app is installed to support review and restoration. Individual order records and customer identifiers exist only during the analysis request and are not retained. Aggregate purchase insights expire after 30 days and are removed by the scheduled worker. Generation request snapshots are cleared when jobs finish or are recovered, and interrupted inputs are cleared after ten minutes by the scheduled worker. Uninstall and Shopify shop-redaction notifications delete the store’s app records and sessions from the active database. Customer-redaction notifications clear aggregate insights and generation records. Backup retention is governed by the hosting providers; contact us for help with an erasure request.

Requests and controls

Merchants can edit their messaging, review publication history, uninstall the app and send an access, correction or deletion request using the contact above. Customers should contact the merchant controlling their store data; MessageFit supports Shopify’s signed privacy request and redaction notifications. The app does not sell customer data or use customer records for targeted advertising.

Website

This public website does not use marketing analytics or advertising cookies. Authentication inside Shopify relies on Shopify’s session-token flow. The app does not yet collect storefront browsing events, session metrics or conversion-rate data.
